The Drill Hall

On the 8th of September 1915 Zeppelin L13 attacked London, dropping two bombs over a warehouse at 59-61 Farringdon Road causing falling masonry to do considerable damage to the Drill Hall building behind, to enable us to install the beautiful new glazed roof, together with its complex structural steel support work.

Fast forward 107 years and our Solutions team have bought the Drill Hall back to life. The challenge was to provide access and a temporary scaffold roof over the building, which was achieved by installing a the steelwork support structure to take the new roof glazing system.

Alongside the roof the external façade was redecorated before working through the building installing new block walls for the W/C’s and creating a new meeting room space alongside completely new MEPH.

The remaining areas of the property have been fitted out to CAT A standard with the buildings original features sympathetically restored.
