Revitalising Residential Safety

GPF Lewis was tasked with transforming a multi-storey residential block in the UK, addressing critical cladding and fire safety concerns. Our mandate was to remove and replace the existing façade while minimising disruption to residents.

This complex project involved a complete overhaul of the building's exterior. We began by carefully removing all combustible materials from the façade, ensuring the safety of residents and workers. A new subframe was then installed, providing a solid foundation for the replacement cladding. We selected high-quality Rainscreen cladding and Europanel materials to enhance the building's aesthetics and durability.

Working on an occupied building posed significant logistical challenges. We maintained open communication with residents, minimising disruptions to their daily lives. Our ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and resequence works as needed was essential.

The existing structure presented additional complexities, requiring extensive design revisions to accommodate the new façade. We leveraged our engineering expertise to develop innovative solutions that ensured the project's structural integrity.

Limited site space demanded meticulous planning and execution. We carefully sequenced our operations, optimising resource allocation and minimising delays.  By addressing these challenges head-on, GPF Lewis successfully revitalised the residential block, improving its safety, appearance, and overall value.
