GPF Lewis was entrusted with revitalising the internal courtyard at University College London's Euston Campus. Our client's goal was to create a tranquil oasis for students to unwind and connect during their free time, replacing the existing, neglected space with a modern, inviting environment.

To achieve this, we carefully designed and implemented a series of enhancements. Level walkways were constructed to facilitate easy movement, while soft landscaping, including lush greenery and vibrant flowers, added a touch of nature. Comfortable wooden seating areas were strategically placed to provide students with a place to relax and socialise. To further enhance the ambiance, we incorporated subtle backlighting that illuminated the courtyard's features, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to these aesthetic improvements, we also addressed practical needs. A new cycle parking area was installed to accommodate the growing number of students who commute by bike, and a modern steel staircase was added to provide alternative access to the building.

The completed project transformed the once-unattractive courtyard into a vibrant and inviting space that has become a cherished part of the University College London campus. By combining functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, GPF Lewis has successfully created a student sanctuary that fosters relaxation, community, and well-being.
