Residential & Commercial Development
The Railway Pub, located on the corner of West End Lane and Broadhurst Gardens in West Hampstead, played host to some famous bands in the 60's through to the 80's including Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, U2, Stevie Wonder and Fleetwood Mac to name a few. GPF Lewis were proud to be selected to manage the considerate redevelopment of the space above the railway tavern into 6 boutique apartments and 2 offices.
Completed over 2 phases, phase 1 was completed in 22 weeks and included relocation of the pub kitchens and the Landlords flat into the lower ground to enable the works to the 1st to 3rd floors. Over the next 42 weeks, phase 2 included extensive demolition works and installation of new steel-work to the top floor, creating 6 apartments on the 2nd / 3rd floors and 2 new offices on the 1st floor. New acoustic ceilings and floors were installed as well as complete renewal of all M&E systems throughout all 3 floors. The completed works also included internal redecoration of the flats and the common areas, installation of all kitchens, bathrooms and fittings and external redecoration of the entire premises.
"We are proud to be associated with the considered development of this historic property and to bring our Client's vision to life. It was an interesting project for all involved, our team enjoyed the challenge and it was a pleasure to see the final results."
