This £1.4 million design & build project


This £1.4 million, turnkey project for a property developer involved the full design and construction of a mixed use development in the heart of London over a period of 60 weeks. From inception to completion, GPF Lewis progressed the project from planning stages through to the complete construction.
 

The property was an existing public house with a basement cellar and living quarters above. The building was demolished, basement extended and lowered and a new concrete frame was taken up a further five storeys to provide a commercial unit at ground and basement level, with 5 residential units split over the remaining four floors. The frame was the clad in brickwork and stone with timber windows and a green roof construction. Internally, the fit out was to a high standard in the residential units and the commercial unit was left as a shell.
 

GPF Lewis were later awarded the fit out based on our performance on the development project.

This development was a finalist in the London Building Excellence Awards 2012 in the "best small commercial development" category.
